when upgrading from solman 7.1 to 7.2 does NW upgrade aswell ?

Hi,

I am trying to plan the upgrade of my solution manager from 7.1 to 7.2 and am reading the master guide. There is however a point I didn't really understand. Solution manager 7.2 is based on NW7.4. My current solman 7.1 is based on NW 7.31.

Should I first upgrade my NW to 7.4, or will the upgrade of NW be included when upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2 ?

Regards,

Dimitri

    Hi,

your NW will be upgraded as part of SolMan upgrade.

Please have a look to Yogesh blogs:

    Hi Dimitri,

This is where Maintenance planner helps to view what is getting changed impacted etc. at system/global landscape level.

Yes Solman is NW based system which has many other add-ons like BW, ST-PI,BBPCRM ST-A/PI etc.

So once you push the data from your solman 7.1 to maintenance planner and generate a stack file for upgrade to solman 7.2 you will be able to notice all the above component patches will be pulled as part of it.

Thus, maintenance planner will automatically bring all the components you need to go to new version. No worries.

All the best and feel free to revert to forum if you have doubt further.

    Thanks
