Dear Experts,
We have a scenario and need your expert advice on the same.
We have In-house Production. Issue Raw Material today then Final product takes 7 days to get manufactured. In every stage we have recognizable output and weight and same output on each operation undergoes for processing for the next stage.
(We have In-Process material which undergoes stage-wise processing till the final products they get, but currently if Production Head want to know the weight and Item at any stage they have a record of weight and item, so at any point of time they want to know the WIP they can calculate the WIP of the same.
Raw Material X and Output Items on the completion of last operation on 7th days is around 30 different products.
Kindly suggest some advice on the same.
Thanks
Apart from Multi BOM approach that other community members have provided, SAP has also come up with WIP Batch Functionality.
Pls find below reference to SAP Help link: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_me52/helpdata/EN/47/38d4e637fc2038e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
Using WIP batches it is possible to track output of each operation of a Production/Process Order in Inventory Management as well. Pls do note that with additional capability like this comes additional operational overheads so business should be aligned with these additional operational overheads before you introduce this capability.
Thanks

Hi,
If you want to have the visibility of so called in process materials, you need to maintain a multi level BOM since stock always has its identity with the material. May be you can use collective orders processing to simplify the production orders creation for each stage.

Hi,
If you want to have stock in between the mfg than you need to create a multi level bom.
