PCD Page Static option on resources in the Homepage Framework

Hi,

We are using ESS (mySAP ERP 2004), EP6 on 640 and ECC5.

The webdynpro screens are defined in the IMG in the Homepage Framework.

We are looking at trying to reduce the number of RFC connections to the backend system and noticed that there is the checkbox:

PCD Page Static in there.

The documentation is rather vague. Does anyone know exactly what this option does?
