Hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction with issues related to a multi-source UNX universe on top of Hadoop.
I'm trying to create multi-source universe in IDT having two different data sources, one pointing to oracle and other to Hadoop.
While creating a new data foundation layer for these two connections, I’m getting error for Hadoop connection alone as: "This data source is not supported in multi-source enabled data foundations".
Below is the version used:
BO Environment : BI 4.2 SP3
Database Middleware : Cloudera Impala 2.0 - Simba JDBC
Hi,
We have created a relation connection through Cloudera Impala 2.0 - Simba JDBC driver on Cloudera Hadoop Impala and we have seen some performance issues so I am just checking if any optimized configuration parameters can be used in the IDT connection.

I've raised a ticket with SAP and got reply that Hadoop multi-source universe is not supported in BI 4.2 SP3. Even it's not available in next patch and also not sure on the fix with future releases.

Yes, I've already tried those options but didn't work. I'm also not able to identify whether latest fix is available in my version.
From the link:https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Apache+Hadoop+Hive+Connection+With+Information+Design+Too..., I got a document on list of supported Hadoop hive versions. But I couldn't see BI 4.2 version itself.

check sap note 1930855 - Cannot create Multi Source Universe on Hadoop 0.9 in BI 4.1 IDT.
Your version is higher but you can try with mentioned steps in note.
