Will custom theme and custom logon page (Fiori launchpad) get overwritten during upgrade ?

Hi,

We will be customizing the Fiori launchpad logon page - background image, logo, footer texts etc as well as customizing sap_belize theme. During future upgradation, what are the precautions to be taken so that the custom changes are not overwritten during the procedure ? What backups are needed before upgradation. Your advice will help in knowing the limitation to customization. We are on the latest platform - SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS01.

Hi Janani,

No worries. SAP does not deliver any custom themes.

You won't upgrade the production system first. You will upgrade the DEV and QAS system and confirm the theme is OK..

You may need to rebuild themes if it does not work on new version.
