Converting the Existing Tx Rules and Update Rules to the Transformation

Hi Gurus,

I have to update all the data from the 3.5 BW system to BI 2004's.

I have so many Transfer Rules with routines, Update Rules with routines, Start Routines for Tx Rules and Update Rules in the BW 3.5 system.

To get those in to 2004's system which has only Transformation Available, how exactly I can do that.

I am trying to avoid the job of merging the Tx Rules and Update Rules with Tranformation that may end up writing the ABAP Code. At the same time, I want to use the functionlity of Tranformation and DTP process instead of going in the old way of creating Tx rules, and Update rules with Infosource creation etc.....

Could you please suggest me, how to approch this process.

Please correct me if I am thinking in the right way to do this is correct or not:

1. Data source --> Transformation (Tx Rules with routines can be copied here) --> InfoSource --> Transformation (Update Rules with routines can be copied here) --> data target.

OR

2. There is a Options to generate the tranformation on the existing InfoSource, and InfoProvider (right click --> Additional Functions --> Transformation Erzeugen),

Will that create the transformation out the the Tx Rules and Update Rules?

Could any one give me more details on how and why the function "Transformation Erzeugen" works.

By using that am I be able to create DTP and can also use the option called Real Time Acquisition.

Please provide me the information as much as you can. Your help is really appreciate.

I will assign the points. Thanks!
