2LIS_11_VAITM Extractor triggering problem

Our R3 team has added two new custom partner types on a sales order; Reseller and End User. The business now wants these new partners reflected in BW.

What I've done so far in R3 is add the fields to the MC11VA0ITM extract structure and also modified the appropriate user exit in R3 to populate these two new partner types.

Everything seems to be working fine when the order is created and also on SOME order changes.

The problem I am having is that if the ONLY change made to an order is to one of these new partner types, the 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor is not picking up on the fact the order has changed.

How can I make the extractor know that these changes should be recorded and sent to BW?
