Cost elements overlap in assgnmt lines 11 and 10, PA trans.str. Y1,COArPA01

Hi experts ;

When i'm trying to assign cost elements in PA transfer structures the system display the following error :

Assignment lines 11 and 10 of PA transfer structure Y1 contain overlapping cost elements in controlling area PA01. At least one cost element is assigned to both lines. Consequently, this cost element cannot be assigned correctly during settlement.

In my case , i have to assign the same cost element group for example for raw material standard and variances ,

Please , can y help me to solve this problem ;

Dear Morad Khalfi,

As suggested by Miya wang, system behavior is standard.

Generally we dont create variances gl accounts as cost elements .Still wondered,how come you have created cost elements for variance g/l accounts and more over subsumed under same cost element group for both raw material standard and variances?

Hi,
This is the system standard design. The cost element can't be overlapped. Otherwise, how should the system to determine in case the same cost element belongs to two different assignments?
