Hello experts!
We want to build up a historical architecture, meaning one InfoCube with actual data from this year and 2 InfoCubes with data of the last two years.
After this we want to build an MultiProvider on top of this 3 InfoCubes für reporting.
The two historical InfoCubes has one different point to the actual InfoCube. Due to performance and because the master data could be the same to the current status, we want to use no navigational attributes, just fix attributes in the dimension.
Now my questions:
-> Do this cause any problems for Integration in the MultiProvider? I think, I can identify my navigational attribute with an normal attribute.
-> What does this mean for performance?
-> Will it really bring something for performance?
-> What should I take for this attribute in the MultiProvider? An navigational or an normal attribute? Why?
-> Why ever should I use an navigational attribute in an MultiProvider?
I hope someone can help me with this question. I would be very thankful!
Kind Regards,
Peter
