Hi everyone,
can anybody tell me the differences between LIS & LO's
Thank u all
Hi,
Difference :
In LO
1. Maintain Datasource
2. Maintain Extraction Stucture (Enhance by adding fields and changes can do)
3. Active the updates and also controlling V3 updates.
in LIS
1. It cannot maintain Extraction Structure, but it imports extracted data from extractio structure into SAP OLTP S/m
2. Infosource prepare data for permanent storage in the infocube.
3. In LIS, two additional table is required as extractors in the OLTP s/m for Delta upload.
I hope it helps.

Varun

Hi Shaik
In Lo u can set paticular Properties for a field
In LIS u can't set the propeties for a field
In Lo u can't create a Table
In LIS u can create a Table

hi sha,
1. LIS works on the concept of Transparent Table concept where as LO uses Cluster table concept.
2.one DS in LIS (2lis_11_s264) is devided in to three DS in LO's namely
2lis_11_vahdr, 2lis_11_vaitm, 2lis_11_vascl. That means we can get detailed level of information through LO's.
3.LIS uses two transperent tables for delta updates, as for as LO concerned structures like RSA7,LBWQ,SM13 will come into picture.
4.LIS works under Push Mechanism and LO works under Pull Mechanism.
5.Enhancing the DS is more complex in LIS than LO's.
6. Volume of the data handled by LO's is more than that LIS.
hope it helps
