Getting an Error while exceuting the WEB Reprot (urgent)

Hi Folks,

When i am trying to excute the report from 01/01/2006 to 21/10/2006. I got an error :

500 SAP Internal Server Error

Error message: Time limit exceeded. ( type of termination: RABAX_STATE ) .

What is the reason causing for this any ideas???

Hi,

I guess you have given a bigger selection and this lead to the query timeout.Try the query in RSRT or reduce the selection and try again.Let me know the outcome.

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes i hav selecetd the bigger selection to display the report this what the client want to see. So even i am execuiting the same in RSRT but still its running.

What exactly i havt to check in RSRT ???

Hi,

Run the transaction ST22 and see the runtime errors which talks the reason for the error.If you go to the details of the log, you can see the solution to solve the error.

Hi

while executing the query in RSRT it got short dump and the error was saying that " After some time the porgramm got terminated.In the case of work area,this means that -endless loops(DO,WHILE ..) - database acess producing an excessively large result set.

The system profie "rdisp/max_wprun_time" contins the maximun time for the programm.

the cureent settings is 600 seconds . Once the time limit has been exceeded,the system tries to terminate any sql statment that are currently being excuted and tells the abap processor to terminate the progaram. The maximum run time of a program is atleast twice the value of the system profile parameter "rdiso/max_wprun_time".

<b>How to Correct the error</b> :

Increase the system profile parameter"rdsip/max_wprun_time".

Depending the casue of the error take one of measures:

- Endless loop - Correct Program.

- Dataset resulting from database acess is too large :Instead of "SELECT * ... END SELECT", use SELECT * .. INTO internal table(for example).

Hi,

have you got any idea about number of records expected from the report?.

Then check the report : if you are using (Exclude-][ ) funtions, then there is considerable performance issue which will consume more query runtime.

You can also reduce the selection and see the limit till you get the result. Other option is increase the Time out setting (the last option)

Sorry for late respnse.

Tony i have reduced the selection and i have given selection crieterai as 3 months and for this its displaying . When i am trying for the 10 months selection at tat time i am getting this error.

So my question is how to increase the time out setting is this job is done by basis guys or bw cons. Please let me know the steps in detail.

And the report is completely based on infoset(only joing of 5 to 6 ods's) no cubes bo aggrgates for this.
