Assign paying company to a company code that is in another country

I am trying to assign a paying company code to a company that is located in another country (txn OBVU). I get an error message F3063 that says "The paying company code and the company code on whose behalf the payment is being made must be in the same country".

Is there a way to get around this in ECC 6.0? We don't want to change either countries.

This is the information i received from my colleague :

This is related to Accounts Payable - Automatic Payment Program.. and it seems this message cannot be bypassed.

You might want to consider if you really want to assign a paying company code to a company located in a different country.

Hi....

As far as my knowledge goes, the Paying Company code and the company code on whose behalf the payment is being made must be in the same country.

SAP does not allow them to be in different countries.

We also a similar situation in our company. We want a US company (Shared services center) to pay for a Company in Canada.

Did you get resolution on your issue? I don't see any replies on the SAP network.

Can you please advise us your solution, if you did find any.
