Hi Parimal,

Can you confirm what the JAVA_HOME and SAPINST_JRE_HOME environment variables are set to?

Hi Mark,

These variables are set. They are pointing to 64 bit J2SDK version. As I said earlier, we completed SR1 installation of WAB AS for Java. We are trying to apply SP18 and we are running into this issue. This error is occuring at 'updating JDBC drivers' stage.

Hi Parimal,

I think it may be best for a message to be opened with SAP Support to investigate further this issue, if possible.

Sorry I cannot find more information myself.

To resolve this issue, we set up the variables you mentioned and kept java.exe in installation directory. I believe that keeping java.exe in installation directory might not be required to resolve this issue but, can not verify it. Hope this will be helpful for people who might get this error. In short, Mark we pretty much followed your suggestions. I have awarded points to you.

Hi,

I was running into the same issue with Windows 2003 Server x64 and SQL Server 2005. I followed the above suggestion of copying the java.exe executable into the SAP Patch Installation directory which for me was C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\PATCH\MSS. Then, when I restarted the Patch Installation, I was able to move past this issue.

Thanks for the help.
