CMS - Are multiple business systems required?

I am receiving a CMS error of "VIAWARE" (my business system) in not assigned a business system in group QA. I only have one viaware business system for R/3 dev, qa, and prod to point to. I don't want to make 3 VIAWARE business systems if I don't have to. Do I need three?

Hi,

If you are using single SLD for all Dev,QA and Prod environment, then you need to replicate the Business Systems for each environment..

So one Business System represents one Technical System in this case R/3. SO in each environment SAP systems are different..

But if you have 3 SLDs, then no need of creating 3 business systems.

btw, while transporting did you assign Business Systems for transport group ? this doc may help u-

So I assume I will have to have something like?

VIAWARE_DEV

VIAWARE_QA

VIAWARE_PROD

and all will have the same technical systems, but different groups and targets

Please confirm.
