Allow negative stock on customer consignment

Hi,

We have activated the negative stocks for consignment stocks but we are still getting an error for stock deficit when we PGI a consignment issue delivery. Are we missing any other setting?

What is the Business reason behind this? In consignment issue stage, if you allow negative stocks, then how are you going to adjust the same in warehouse?

As part of our business, we roll out/phase out products every year. But some stores still carry our inventory when we would have already written those off. We receive POS data from the stores that they have sold product which was already written off. Because of the volume, we decided to move to this option and write in stock at the store locations whenever we see negative stocks.

Check the message customizing and make it a warning, it will still be an error for materials where negative stock is not allowed

It may depend on the content of the error message which you unfortunately did not tell.

Usually you do availability checks in deliveries, and available is only positive stock.

If you allow negative then you can remove your availability check as it does not make much sense anymore, the stock figures are anyway untrue.

Hi Jurgen,

Thanks for your response. We turned off the availability check both at item category and schedule line level. Same item category KEN is used on order and delivery. The error message we got is "Deficit of Customer stock unr: xxx 2000.00 EA W"

Thank you
