How to create activities by using oData Services

I'm currently trying to create a sales activity linked to an opportunity by using the standard oData services (OpportunityTaskSalesActivityCollection), because I want to create tasks on the SCP and then send it to C4C.

After some investigation on the date formats and valid entries I was able to post the information to C4C, but then I got the error message that I should name a reference document ID and a reference role code. These fields are not mentioned in the entity of the Activity Collection, neither have I found any infos regarding these.

Has anyone of you ever tried to use the oData Services for such a task and could assist me here?

Considering that the system went through updates and new releases since this thread was opened, could you please confirm whether there is still an issue with the creation of the activities?
