Different Customers Diff number ranges picking logic in C4C?

Hi ,

Could you give me some idea about the customer number rage picking logic in the C4C.

  • I have three type of Customers ( account groups) and I want to maintain three different number ranges for all of it (account groups). so as i am expecting i would create a customer , the customer ID should be picked based on customer types ( Account group). So please guide me where can we maintain these thing.
  • The same scenario is happening when i am going transfer all three type of Customers from ECC to C4C.
  • As in sap CRM or ECC there is grouping or account group concept. on the basis of which we can differentiate the customers no range.( Here is something like this in C4C )
  • I have check so many things but I am not getting conclusion. Please guide me...

Hello Dinesh,

1.In C4C system you maintain the customer group for each organizational assignment in the sales data of the account master record(i.e. after your account been created).

2.Whereas the Customer Id/Number gets generated prior to this ,hence there is no option to have different ID/Number range for different types of Account/Business Partner base on the customer groups.

Thers is single fine-tune activity for it i.e. "GENERAL BUSINESS PARTNERS" ->hyperlink "Define Number Ranges for Business Partners" which is for all types of BP number range.
