Manual Authorisation in CRM

Hi,

We are working on the SAP CRM 4.0 and SAP R/3 4.6C.

We have both the WEB IC and ISA components.

Our business process requires CSA to create the orders in WEB IC taking the credit card details from the customers who call them.

We have a Third Party application "COMMS XL".

While creating the Sales order the CRM system should be able to "talk"

directly to this third party application, which in turn would talk to

the clearing house, get the response code from the Clearing house and

return the result of the card check to SAP CRM.

If there is some problem in COMMS XL connection to the clearing

house,we go for <b>manual authorization.</b>

The user will call a specific number to obtain a manual authorisation

code – this essentially means the transaction is pre-authorised.

This functionality of the manual authorisation is there in the sales

order process of the R/3.

I understand that we have the same in CRM 5.0.

In absence of any of this functionality in CRM 4.0 what kind of development this would call for ?

Could any one pls sdvise.

Thanks in advance.
