Hi,

I have an existing Analysis for Office workbook whose datasource is connected to BW(using SAPLOGON.INI connection).

Now i want to replace the above connection with existing OLAP connection in BI platform.

Any idea how to replace the connection of the data source from BW to OLAP connection.?

The reason why i need to perform the above task is ,i need to schedule the AFO workbook in BI platform and with BW connection, i am getting error while scheduling.

Hi Tammy,

The OLAP connection is already created in CMC.

My question was , how to replace the existing BW connection with OLAP connection in AFO?

I have a workbook which has a BW connection that has has to be replaced with OLAP connection.

I have other workbooks which are already connected to OLAP connection.

Samson - I am not following; perhaps you could share screen shots? Are you trying to connect locally via the SAP Gui or the OLAP connection?

Hi Tammy,

I have an existing AFO workbook, wherein the connection is via SAPGUI and its already saved.

When i try to refresh the workbook, it asks for the SAPGUI credentials

Now i want to replace this with an OLAP connection in the AFO workbook.

I donot find any option to replace the connection for existing data source.I can add a new data source connected to OLAP in the existing workbook.

After replacing with OLAP , it should ask for the below credentials (web service URL).

Hope you are clear now

I recommend setting up the OLAP connection in the CMC; your BI administrator should do this. Please see YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_Jap4WM7Hc&feature=youtu.be
