Component Quantity Conversion for Maintenance Order Issue

Hi, please help me in resolving my issue.

Now I have material, its base unit is ROL, and its issue unit is Meter, and conversion factor is maintained as => 1000 ROL <=> 82296 M, because decimal places are not allowed in conversion factors. In other words 1 ROL <=> 82.296 M

When I make maintenance order and select the material in components tab, I entered quantity as 2.5 M as the requirement quantity.

So I expect the system to do the conversion and determine the reserved quantity as 0.03 ROL, but as shown below it is like the system is ceiling the converted value and not calculating the exact value

And when I go to issue the required quantity in MIGO, the quantity showing is totally different from the required quantity

This is the issue we are facing, so can you please suggest what can be done to resolve it.

I noticed that when I create a reservation with movement type (201), then the system will apply the conversion as expected

Could it be something related to the configuration of the movement types?

Thanks

In general you are using a wrong base unit. SAP says "The base unit of measure is the unit that provides the maximum precision necessary"

So you should use the smallest unit as base unit. ROL would then be the order unit.

However, even a wrong chosen base unit should not have the result as shown in your screenshots.

Can it be that the order existed already when you added the new alternative unit?

Had you already searched for OSS notes? I would search with the technical field name of the base quantity along with words like "alternative unit" , "rounding" , "conversion"

Thank you for your reply. I have made a new order and selected the same material in components tab with Qty 5 M, after I confirmed the conversion, but still the system is not doing the conversion properly and during issue in MIGO, the the system shows the Qty as 82.296 which means 1 ROL according to the maintained conversion.

I'm still searching for OSS notes, but couldn't find someone related to my issue.
