can any one suggest how to get sales order number from outbound IDOC?

Is is dependant on the Message type which you are using for the outbound?

for example, if it is ORDRSP (Order Acknowledgement) then the SO # is seen in segment

E1EDK01 - Field BELNR as well as segment E1EDK02 with Qualifier 002 and field BELNR

You can get order number in two ways:

Case 1:

If you have outbond idoc number ....then

SE16>Table EDID4>Give you idoc number,,--> then you can get you order number

Case 2:

if you dont know the idoc number

we02> enter the date idoc was posted,message type>

list of idoc are generated > double click on the idoc> click on the control record-->check the segment .for Order number..

Hi,

As Suggested give the IDoc Number in T.Code:WE02. Execute.

Idoc will give various segement and the Status of the IDOC.You will get into IDOC Display scree. Please check for the Last status Technical Short Info. One of the stauts where is "Green Light" apprears and Current Status will be indicated.

In Display screen if you go to satus recod you will get the order details.

Hi

I still feel the best place to search about an IDOC and its segments is the Design document created during the Implementation rather than SAP. It will give you more insights into the entire IDOC rather than just one field. Just locate the document and all your answers are in, there!

Hi,

I am not sure of the scenario here.

On an inbound IDOC for creating sales orders, we can view the SO # from the status records in T.code: WE02.

If you are referring to outbound IDOC that carries SO#, then the best way is to go through the EDI configuration documents in your project library, where you will find a document that details about the segments and the fields that are mapped from SAP. Otherwise, go to WE02, open the IDOC and search each and every segment.
