Hi All ,

The sandbox is basically a place where the developers can do all sorts of experimenting when trying to learn something. I would like to understand the importance for a Fiori Sandbox if project decided to activate std FIORI applications .I am curious as this area is different than RICEFW devlopment.

What extra work, risks or problems would create for the project if FIORI sandbox is not available and direct activation of FIORI std applications started in DEV system?

Thanks ,

Pradnya

Having a sandbox system in the landscape is not mandatory for Fiori implementation or even otherwise. If your company has the infrastructure for a sandbox then its great as you would already know what all potential issues you would be likely to face when you activate the apps in DEV, else there is absolutely no harm in activating standard Fiori apps directly in the DEV environment. Also there is no extra effort involved in doing Fiori app activation in DEV than in the sandbox.
