Hi guys
During month end, some of our fact tables take really long to load. We have universes which have more than 1 FACT tables in dfx. The problem is, end users do not know the loads are being run, so when they run a webi query over that universe who uses two fact tables, but one of them is still in loading state , the query still runs but obviously returns partial data... Is there a way to somehow notify users to prevent them running queries while data loads are incomplete? Its even more tricky with the scheduled reports...
Any ideas?
You should have a communication methodlogy which communicates to all the users as on when the latest data is vavailable.
For example if you have Sales data, as on when your ETL load completes for your Sales data mart (May be all sales related tables refreshed), trigger the email communication to End users(Sales Team) so that every on aware of the current data load status.
Thanks
Mani

You need to go with the event based scheduling.
