You can an inbound Function module for any IDoc Type

IDOC_INPUT_<IDoc Type>

For inbound process:

IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01

For outbound process:

MASTERIDOC_CREATE_MATMAS

MASTERIDOC_CREATE_REQ_MATMAS
