HTTP adapter - dynamic URL - character limit

Hi,

I have a dynamic URL set in the HTTP receiver adapter that works ok.

However, when the number of characters in the dynamic URL is over 200 characters, XI throws a wobbly.

com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Runtime exception during processing target field mapping /Graydon_CompanyReport/URLdetails. The message is: Exception:[java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Value is too long (211/200):

Is there any way around this ? The target field is defined as a string.

SAP have confirmed this is a limit set in XI

Did you find a work around for this? Does anyone know of any further updates from SAP since 2007?

Hi Colin,

I dont think that there is a way around this. Think there is no patch on this yet.
