are deltas dependent on extractor name or the tables acessed?

I now have a COPA extractor in prodution. some of the fields i need in segment table are not selected. (T-code KEB0)

when i look at details of extractor it says delta method :Time Stamp Management in Profitability Analysis.

I deleted the old data source in sandbox and created a new one with same name, the new extractor with same name says Delta Method Generic Delta.

Then i found out from sap documentation that with plug in release PI2004.1, timestamp management was converted to a new method called generic delta. It also says conversion from generic delta to time stamp management in profitability

analysis is not supported.

Given the above situation

If i want to bring in new fields in my extractor i have two options,

(Note: My new fields are to feed new cube, not existing copa cube)

1. Delete and create a new extractor with same name and feed the two cubes

2. Keep the old one in the same place and create a new one with required fields and load the new cube

My questions are

1. Delete and create a new extractor with same name and feed the two cubes

if i create a new one wiht same now, how does it capture the deltas correctly?

should i remove all data and do a initilazation or delta?

2. Keep the old one in the same place and create a new one with required fields and load the new cube

If there are two copa extractors with different names, but acessing the same tables, will the deltas be caputured

accurately?

are the deltas dependent on extractor name or the tables acessed by extractor?

Thanks in advance
