hi guys,
I need your help!!
We are doing Intercompany stock transfer between our warehouses.we will create Intercompany purchase order between company 1(SUPPLYING PLANT) and company 2(RECEIVING PLANT).
With reference to this Intercompany PO, GRN will take place at the receiving plant.
After GRN,I could see the stocks are now in QTY AVAILABLE at the receiving plant. Then they will create Sales order and release it to the customer.
My question is, I just want to automatically create the sales order, when the stock reaches the receiving plant.
Is it possible???
I am not sure, whether you have chosen the correct tag. Here is what SAP BusinessObjects Intercompany means: https://www.sap.com/product/analytics/reconciliation.html. If this is not what you had in mind, try searching for a more relevant one - SD/MM related. It could increase your chances to get replies.
As to your question - how would the system know that you wish to create a sales order for customer A or B and what quantity the customer expects? Cross-company replenishment does not necessarily mean that you need to create an order to a specific customer. Replenishment could be based on some historical data.
Do you have specific agreements with customers, based on which you are supposed to deliver some predefined quantity of products at specific dates? You did not mention that you do, and, if yes, whether this is registered in the system.
If you perform replenishment, because a customer requested to buy products from you, it would make more sense to start from the sales order creation, which could be used to trigger replenishment.
If I were the functional consultant, responsible for such requirement, I would invest some additional time to discuss with the users what is the business process, especially to understand the reasons why they operate in a specific way.

Hello Murthy,
I have worked in same business process called PO-SO process where Sales Order is created with reference to Purchase Order.
I am trying to search my old post/answer over PO-SO process but unfortunately not able to find out.
Thanks,
Prashant Sharma

Hi,
you can create automatic sales orders by using BAPI and scheduling the same with short period intervals.
