Hi ,
Is there a way to confirm the necessary usernames/groups already created (or) missing from SWPM before starting the installation just like pre-requisites check. The installation environment would be Linux and Oracle.
Please share with me if any documents/blogs available.
I would appreciate all your help.
Thanks in advance
Hi Daniel,
You can find the username/group requirements in installation guide under "Creating Operating System Users and Groups" area.

Hi Daniel,
Answer is there in my reply.
You cannot run SWPM for this validation, option is compare the user Ids that you created with specifications mentioned in "Creating Operating System Users and Groups".
If you want to validate these Ids without doing this manual work..Then just go ahead and execute SWPM installation option, it will give you the result during the user Id/group creation phase.

Hi,
I had created the ID's/Groups before installation not sure they were created properly or not in Linux environment, I would want the SWPM to verify them for distribution installation.

I would appreciate all your inputs.

Hi Daniel,
It depends on the option that you are choosing in SWPM. For new installations Ids and groups are created by installation process so it doesn't check the existence of Ids during prerequisites check. If Ids already exists then process just skips this step and proceeds with next steps.
