What is required of config to prepare for interactive forms

Hi!

I am a functional trying to get a initial impression on how much work is involved to enable interactive forms. We are running appropriate versions (at least to my knowledge). Web App Server 6.40 and I believe Designer 7.0. My question: roughly, how much work is it normally to enable the system for interactive forms? What are the main risks associated with such an implementation? Are there limited functionality using web dynpro for abap as of today?
