If I have a delta queue for 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM is there a way that I can determine which records are new and not changed records? Thanks
Hi,
Not too sure if there's an easy way to do this. From the BW monitor details you can find out how many are new and how many changed. In the delta queue details,if there is a field in the extractor like changed on date, etc maybe using that you would be able to know.
Cheers,
Kedar

Hi Kedar,
Thanks for that, the reason why I am asking is that we have carried out a fill for the production setup tables and there is going to be a GAP between the BW init. We have had to open the system so if I am able to tell how many new records have been posted (rather than changed) I should be able to reconcile
Hi,
What you can do is, from the set up tables or from the cube (if you have extracted the data to BW), you can take a list of the data already present. Key in on fields like mat nos, etc.
Then when you want to compare you can open up the delta queue entries and check against those nos. Its still a manual method and prone to errors. Will also consume time depending on the number of records, but you can probably store them in excel and find out the difference.
The other thing I had in mind was, why not do the setup table fill and break it up in chunks at the time you are ready to do that, so there'll be no or very minimum gap.
Cheers,
Kedar
Thanks for that the second suggestion that you made is something that I would like to work with.
So for example when we filled the setup tables we used the last posting date as 11.11.2006.
Our idea is that just prior to carrying out the BW init we would carry out an additional fill to the set up table where the start date will be documents posted from 12.11.2006 (this was when the system was opened) to say when we are ready to carry the BW init say 14.11.2006
My understanding would be that any posting to the setup table will represent all stock movements but I was looking to identify movements for new materials which I do not think is possible without unless you said a lengthy process which is subject to error
