Workflow - Notification to a Position in Org Unit

Hi,

I have a requirement to Send a Notification to an authorized person in the ORG Unit.This Task is a background task which uses the BO SELFITEM and Method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION.

I can send the notification by passing a value thru address strings.How do i send the notification by selecting from Org Unit.I cannot use a rule as this task is a background task.Is there any FM to determine that authorized person from Org Unit .Or is there any other method to solve this issue.Thank you

Hi Swathi,

I am not clear with your question. Are you trying to get any person from an orgunit? Or Do you want to know the boss of an org unit and then send a notification?

These are couple of FMs that could help you...

HRCM_ORGUNIT_MANAGER_GET - manager of orgunit

HRCM_ORGUNIT_EMPLOYEE_LIST_GET - employees of orgunit

Then I think you can use employee list of orgunit FM. Let me know if that works for you.

Where do i pass the ORG Unit.

I was lookin at the FM but i donno know wahat to pass as import parameters

for OTYP

OBJID

PATH_ID

Is it not necessary to pass the Orgunit Nmae?

My Orgunit's name is CHRM3 i need to retrieve all people in that Orgunit
