what is the use of distribution model. just used to define message types between logical systems?

Hi Rakesh,

Please find your answer to ur queries below.

1. Difference between WE20 & BD64

There is no difference between creating partner profile in WE20 and BD64.

WE20 is a manual way of doing it where as BD64 is auto way of doing based on the messages types defined in distribution model.

2. Use of distribution model

The important use of distribution model is to show the relation between sending and receiving system. It identifies message is flowing from where to where.

It also helps in identifying the relation ship between BAPIs to.

And yes definitely as you said it helps in data filtering too.

hope this solves ur doubt...If not let us know

differnce between these 2 means:

WE20: this is creating partner profiles. this is independent of CDM.

BD64: this is dependent of CDM. based on CDM ganarating partner profiles.

this is dependent of CDM.

CDM: customer distribution model. this is useful to maintaine comunication between both sending and receiving side.based on this we can generate port.
