MM Account Determination

I am trying to post stock for first time for finished goods (FERT) using T Code -MB1C,Mtype -561, Val Group Code- US01, valuation class 7920.

MB1C error is "Account Determination CAUS BSX US01 ____ not possible"

I read from the document that BSX not supposed to have Account Grouping Code. So how to fix this problem.

In the Simulation Report, I find entries for only GBB BSA. This is because GBB US01 has 7920. The entries for BSX (INVENTORY POSTING) is error. When I see BSX, itdoes does not have 7920 for US01. When I try to include this 7920 for US01 MB1C is throwing error and exiting.

Val Group Code- 0001 also has related problems like this.

What is the work around for posting and completing MB1C for initial posting of stock through BSX and GBB.

Can you please send the screen shot of the error occured and the worklog.

I have tried the same which you are trying to do and is working fine.

Here I am enclosing an OSS note which speaks about the problem in program and its remedy

In various Materials Management transactions, the system displays error message M8147 "Account determination for entry XXX YYY not possible". The account determination is not possible since valuation class is missing.

Transactions affected:

Initial entry of stock balances (Transaction MB1C)

Enter goods movement (Transaction MB11)

Enter goods issue (Transaction MB1 A)

Batch input

Additional key words

COBL_MB, account assignment MB1A, MB1C, MB11, M8147, RM07MMBL

Cause and prerequisites

The problem is caused by a program error.

Solution

Add the following entry to structure COBL_MB:

Field name = BKLAS

Data element = BKLAS

Type = CHAR

Length = 4

Short text = Valuation class

Generate the structure.

Hi Sunil,

As far as my understanding is concerned, the terms appearing in the error have the following meaning:

CAUS: The chart of account

BSX : The transaction event key for inventory posting

US01: Valuation grouping code

The above terms is folllowed by single dash then make the rule independent of valuation class and fill in the appropiate GL account.

If the above term is followed by two dash then only include rule dependent of valuation class.

One more point,from the error creeped it don't reflect the need of account grouping code for rules.

Please let me know if it works. Other wise please provide us the srceen shot of the error creeped.

The actual error is "Account Determination for Entry CAUS, BSX US01_7920 is not possible."

In the error message a single dash is appearing that is corresponding to Account grouping code for BSX, rest of the parameters are in place.

So do I need to make Account Grouping code independent ? If so how ? Or what is the work around to over come this problem and post MB1C ?

Have you given a GL account for BSX 7920 ?

Yes, When I manually gave 792000 as GL account for BSX 7920. In simulation result, I can see 792000 for invenory posting (BSX). But when I try to post stck using MB1C it throws error like " New Item 0001" accessing objects from fund management using inappropriate parameters and exit.

1) Could you please post here exactly , what error msg you are getting.

2) From the error msg , i understand that You are using the valuation group code of US01 . Ensure that u assigned the valuation goup code US01 correctly to the valuation area

The error message I got when posting of stock using MB1C is "Account Determination CAUS BSX US01 ____ not possible" so I checked to see the accounting group for TEKy -BSX, VLC-7920 and VLG-US01.

But BSX does not have

1. Accounting Groups (like BSA etc) and

2.It also does not have Valuation class 7920 (it has upto 7900)

Hence not taking values for AGC and not showing corresponding GL Account in simulation of account determination result.

In the same transaction, CAUS GBB BSA, US01 7920 is showing correct GL accounts. Only the BSX is causing problems and unable to post the initial stock.

When I manually included 7920 and GL account for BSX, the error related "New Item 0001" related to accessing objects in Funds management with parameters missing"

Any idea how to overcome this problem ?

I have checked, the valuation group code US01 is assigned to valuation area (Plant in this case).
