Artcle Hierarchy Assignment in ARTMAS08 via LSMW

Hi,

I am in a new SAP Retail Implementation Project and need to Migrate the ArtIcies from Legacy to SAP. There are 115K Articles out of which 20-30K Articleas fall under the Article Hierarchy Assignments. I am using the ARTMAS08 Idoc type in LSMW but do not know how to Create the Article hierarchies and also to assign the Articles to the Article Hierarchy for these 20 to 30K Articles. A Colleague of mine Suggested the BAPI '

BAPI_WRF_MATGRP_CHANGE' but this is for changing the nodes. I am looking forward to Creating the Article hierarchies first and then assigning the 20-30K Articles to these Hierarchies. As I said I am using the LSMW and Idoc ARTMAS08.

Can anybody please let me know how to Achieve this Goal Via ARTMAS08 since this Idoc does not deal with the Article Hierarchy Assignments. Can any one please guide me the right way.

I have the same request , need to assign the article to the Node, want to know which IDOC will serve this purpose.

Not able to find any thing in ARTMAS

Hi Vibhor,

Would the BAPI 'BAPI_WRF_MATGRP_CHANGE' only create the Article hierarchies OR Would also assign the materials to it as well.

So for Article assignments to Hirerachies can you please let me know the Step-by-step Approach. I Want to Migrate the Articles as well as assign the Articles to the Hirearchies. How should I do that..?

Hi Deepak

ARTRMAS will not be able to help you. If you want to use idocs, use WMATGRP01 idoc type for article hierarchy creation. You will have to work on the idoc structure to decide on what data you will have to prepare. I am not sure if it will be able to deal with article assignment though.

For that you can use BAPI_WRF_MATGRP_CHANGE.
