Guidance Please

hi

I am a data integration consultant, building an adapter between SAP and a datawarehouse. The position is a research profile with me being the sole person. I also have an offer to be a part of the SAP implementation MySap ERP ECC 6x in a leading publishing house, which is low paying.

Please advice, should i take it up?

Hi,

From the looks of it, experience in developing adapters will be quite useful for you to join SAP Software Partners at a later point, if you arent there already. Moreover, data warehousing is a fairly hot skillset and rewarding in the long-term. So by the time you are done, you will have a niche skillset. You can develop yourself into an Architect level role. What you need to do meanwhile is to look for firms who might be interested in your experience and prepare yourself for the next move.

But if you intend to develop yourself into a development consultant, rather than a software developer, you can opt for the other opening.
