Hi

How to customize (remove few elements - buttons etc) from the compensation approval iView of the Manager Self Service package.

Your directions will be appreciated.

Hi,

What version of MSS BP are you using?

Double click the the iview Compensation Approval(ECM) in portal content to open up the properties. When u select "Show All" then you will see properties like ACTIONSBONOFF, ACTIONSBONREG, ACTIONSLTI, ACTIONSSAL which have values: GDL, PCT, CLR, MIN, CMP, CUR. Each is a button on the screen. Remove a value from the plan(ACTIONSSAL, ACTIONSLTI or from all of them) to remove that button on the screen.

This is well documented in a pdf that comes with the BP.

Hi Naveen,

Your answer was exactly what i needed.

We are using MSS 60.1.5 with R/3 4.7

Before doing changes i wanted to read document, we don't have it.

I tried searching even downloaded MSS 60.1 but it doesn't have that Doc.

If possible, Can you send me the link or the doc at ankitjain8@gmail.com

Code for Compensation iviews in MSS 60.1.5 for R/3 4.7 is Java or BSP. The IView properties indicated it as Java code.

Also MSS apraisals for the same BP is JAVA or BSP ?

Is there any place i can look up to find about code's for MSS 60.1.5 for R/3 4.7, and that

where they are ?

Ankit,

Older MSS Business package delivered by SAP was an htmlb version(Java) . The newer you get now is WebDynpro version(java).

If you need to tamper class files from BP, you would need to download the par file and decompile & build it back.

. . .. . . How will you change the name of the existing Column headings in the IView like from "Amount" to " STIP Amount", etc..

Add a new Column titled "Manager Name".

Removal of all Buttons (ACTIONS* property buttons were effective only for CUR and CMP)

with the "SAVE" Button.

My email ID is ankitjain8@gmail.com , I have to do similar changes (image removal) through out the Compensation IViews. Can you please write a very high level steps involved. (I do know a bit of JAVA though).

I know, we need lot of customization here.
