Run a process to delete forecast

Every month we run a process that is supposed to delete all forecast (including Withdrawals) before re-populating our forecast (for Month 1 forward). Every month we find SKU's who's forecast did not get deleted. An example SKU that we found in error this month is12345678 at location 2012. As you can see there is 100,100 lbs of forecast withdrawal on 10 May 2017, 100,050 lbs on 15 June 2017, and 100,000 lbs on 20 July 2017. In total this is 300,150 lbs of forecast withdrawn for Month 1 (10 May 2017) forward. That would mean that we have shipped 300,150 lbs since the forecast has been deleted and re-populated. Anyway, we have not shipped any of this SKU since the forecast was re-populated. How to resolve the re-occurring issue where all of our forecast does not get deleted.

You should delete forecast through transaction /SAPAPO/MD74 and not through /SAPAPO/RLCDEL.

Thank you NITIN for your prompt reply

I am deleting the forecast through MD74 by using process chain and it is getting deleted, but when i check after sometime the deleted forecast gets re-populated.

So, how to avoid the re-population of the deleted forecast?

    Kindly help in this regard.

    Best regards,
    sap.

    Hello,

Can you please try to delete forecast using /SAPAPO/RLCDEL.

Select " by categories - FA" and provide scope in manual selection

    Thanks..

    Hi,

Are you releasing the forecast for the past period for which you have already deleted the forecast?

If yes, then the forecast will come back in planning.

Another chance, may be - are you integrating PIRs from ECC to APO?

What I am doubting is that, if you have transferred PIR from ECC to APO and deleting it only in APO, might bring back the forecast from ECC.

You might need to delete the past forecast in ECC and transfer it to APO.

    Regards,

    Manimaran M.
