Hello Team,
Recently we migrated from 7.0 to 7.5. I was able to complete the security related steps using the forums, thank you.
I am having 2 questions
1) In RSECADMIN, for analysis authorizations there are 2 components
a) Version status b) run time version
What is the meaning and use of them
2) In RSECVAL_STRING table, there is version with values A & M and for each infoboject i am seeing 2 values one with A & another with M. What is the meaning of this version and why there are 2 versions for same values of infoobjects
Hello Vamsi,
1/ The version status is the classical one : it shows you if all modifications have been activated (if active).
The runtime version only indicates if the authorization analyzis is available for reporting. By Deactivating the Runtime version, the AA won't be used anymore for reporting (but the status version will remain Active).
2/ These versions (A&M) are used for all the main BW objects, the A version stores the activated modifications and the M stores the modifications in progress.
Regards,
Frederic
