Creating Opportunity or Lead via ODATA in SAP C4C

Hi All,

Edit: I'm looking for payloads for SalesLead and Opportunity

I'm working with the SAP Cloud for Customer ODATA API and I've been able to perform all operations on other objects, but I haven't been able to crack Opportunity and SalesLead.

  • Trying to create an Opportunity (OpportunityCollection) and SalesLead (SalesLeadCollection) in SAP C4C via the ODATA API. I've been trying various payloads and researching the few days, but I haven't found any that are working. I keep getting the following error: "The Data Services Request could not be understood due to malformed syntax".
  • Upon some research online, SAP has suggested changing the URL for the Lead call to mention "pcmportal" instead of "c4codata", but that has just returned a different issue. The 2nd error, (for pcmportal) seems to indicate that I need to configure access for my API user in my SAP Admin, but I haven't been able to find any information to resolve the issue.
    • Returns: "The Data Services Request could not be understood due to malformed syntax"
  • POST https://my<company>.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/v1/pcmportal/LeadCollection
    • Returns: "The Data Services Request has been understood, but it is refused. User is succesfully authenticated. The request SHOULD NOT be repeated"

Additionally - our integration is trying to manage social media user profiles and user profiles via the ODATA API, but I haven't found a corresponding SAP object to request/manage this information. The closest I've found is a "Request Business Transaction Document Reference" for a Service Request (Incident) which mentions a "SocialMediaChannelCode". Is there a specific object for social media?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi! Did you solve the issue? I am facing the same error with POST method for Corporate Accounts.

    Best regards.
