Hello Everyone:
I am creating a smartform with a number of folders in the main page. Each folder has a table whose length varies. When I print the form, I need the entire contents of a folder on the same page. I don't want the details to be spread across two pages.... Is this possible..?
If the above is not possible... then if the table is spread across two pages.. I would like the header be displayed in both the pages.. Can this be done..?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.. and if the solution works.. points will be awarded.. Thanks all.
I know that in the system that I work in, 4.6C, you cannot use the page protection on a folder that contains a table.
To display the header on both pages: in your table node click on the Events tab. Under the Header option check the box for 'at page break'.

Matt:
Thanks for the reply. As you mentioned page protection for folders that contain tables is not enabled. I am assuming that by " events tab" you mean " And Additional Events" on the conditions tab of the table. If so, I already have that checkbox checked. And it does not help me.
One more thing.. Do I need another page in addition to my page to trigger the page break..? Currently, I only have one page .. Page 1: which contains header window and Main window which contains all my folders. Thanks again...
In my system when I double click on a Table Node I see the tabs for 'Table', 'Data', 'Events', 'Output Options', and 'Conditions'.
In the 'Events' tab is where I select the checkboxes for Header and 'at page break'.
I think that you do not need to have the checkbox under the Conditions tab checked. This would mean that the table gets printed only at a page break, when in fact you want the Header of the table to be printed at the page break.
You shouldn't need to add another page.
Hi,
I think you mean to say Windows as folders.
If you have contents in main window it will run across pages.
Place your contents in secondary windows, which will restrict the contents to that page only, keep in mind if the width is not enough the remaining text will be truncated.
You can have header or footer which will be constant in all the pages.
To know more about windows, pages in smartforms go thru' the following link.
