Sales order ATP check - stock transport order

Hi,

When the sales orders is created it performs availability check on stock transport order as per the settings and confirms quantity. However, when the stock transport order carries a batch which has a restricted status, the sales order still confirms the quantity based on the stock transport order delivery date. I have applied OSS notes 350864 and 154682, but still the system confirms quantity, which has restricted status at batch level in stock transport order.

Can any one help with a solution for this scenario?

What I understand from your probelm is the sales order allows the SO to confirm quantity, however when you do delivery order in VL01N, I believe that you can do it, the system will give out error message and inform that you SO is being blocked or other related status.

There is nothing to do with restricted status with confirm quantity. You goods quantity will only be deducted once you do picking in the DO.

The issue is if the sales order confirms the quantity, the user informs the customer that the goods can be delivered. But in reality, once the goods arrive the plant, it is still in the restricted status for some reasons, meaning this cant be shipped.

This leads to receiving bad feed back from the customers. The user expects the system not to confirm the stock transport order goods, if the goods-batches are in the restricted status.

For this case, you may advise your user not to inform your customer at first place eventhough the quantity is confirmed. Tell your user to change the sales order status to become a non-restricted order if they wish to inform user that the goods are available, I think this is a matter that your user like to commit themself to the user, you just need to solve this issues with your user and give appropriate advice to them.
