InfoObject Assignment for Infosource

Hi ,

I have written an extractor FM . I created the zstructure in SE11.

I replicated the datasource in BW and now I am trying to create the Infosource from the Datasource ....!!

When I assign the Datasource to the Infosource , It takes me the transfer rules screen ...where most of the fields in the structure do not have a Infoobject assigned to it ( some are defaulted ).

I have 7 fields that will bring some kind of calculated quantity from SAP structure ...I want to know ...?

Should I just pick any Quantity Info Object and assign it to each of them ...or I need to crate new for them ?

Why cant we assign the same infoobjects ( like stock_qty ) to all the qty fields..

Can anyone clarify the concept how the infoobject assignment works ?

You should have one infoobject for each transfer structure field, yo can´t assign any infoobject because the infoobject must have a compatible data type with the R3 datatype...and the target fields must be different....now...the assigning concept conisder that you have a R3 field that need to have a "template" before assigning the communication structure....and yo u can have an R3 field that is mapped to a an infoobject an next you have this infoobject mapped to the infoobject of the communication structure.....you have an intermediate infoobject only for mapping....
