1. If you have a S-user, which you use to log in here, the e-mail can be changed via SAP One Support Launchpad (this makes sense only if your company is switching corporate e-mails for whatever reason, I would not change this unless a system administrator explicitly asked me to edit my settings).

2. If you have a P-user, you cannot change your e-mail anymore. This was possible in the old site, but currently it is not supported. From what Oliver explained in another discussion, even the support team cannot perform such changes. Read here: How can I change the email address assigned to my account?

3. If you just need to change your password in SCN for security reasons and you have a P-user and you are able to log in, you can do that from your profile settings: manage

Is it possible for someone to switch from a company email to a gmail.com address if they are leaving a company and as a result losing their S-user? I can't imagine anyone with a community history/profile wants to start all over, and if they move to an independent contractor role or simply a private email, can they just convert their profile to a new email account and lose the S-User?

When you leave the company, the admins deactivate the s-user - this is a part of the off-boarding process. And the s-user belongs to the company, which pays for SAP licenses, not to the person.

I think, the use case of e-mail address change option in the Launchpad is when you need to switch corporate e-mails for administrative reasons, for example: you change positions from central office to a local one, leading to domain change, you get married or you get a divorce and change your name (some companies use the initials from your family name as a part of the e-mail and you get a new address).
