What does the combinations in the layout do exactly? As I have a rolling forecast and have copied the actual data for the first 3 periods and the remainder is populated with the forecast. I have built a query on the cube just to reconcile the data.
In the layout all the data is there, when I use the Combination previous and next but what I want is to see all the data for all the three periods in the layout not by scrolling on the combination... any ideas, similiar to when I execute the query I see all the periods?
Hi,
Combination created based on the characteristics in header. The best option is to put characteristics which have constant values for all the periods in the header area. For eg controlling area, chart of accoutns, year.
thanks

Hi
With combination in layout (e.g. button change combination) you can choose the variable values for planning
For instance you could have Year 2007 , Controlling area 1000, in your layout --> choose Other Combination You can insert Year 2008 Controlling area 2000
So you can directly plan on your variable values
Hope it helps

You can choose not to display the header selections in your planning layout. This setting is available in the planning layout configuration screens in BPS0. On the screen with the following tabs: Header Area, Lead Columns, & Data Columns navigate to the Header Area and select HIDE for the selections you want to hide.
Hope this helps.

I don't really want to put all these Constants into the actual Layout (Columns) as there is too many of them and as you know there is only so much of the screen you see without starting to Scroll.

Hi,
The Characteristics I have in the Header which are hidden are Company Code, Chart of Accounts, Profit Centre, Cost Center, Controlling Area, Currency, Fiscal Year Variant, Value type, as in my Planning Level I have then hard coded.

Hi,
Place the characteristics in lead column instead of header area , so that it will display all results.
(like placing the characteristics in rows instead of free characteristics in query designer)

Siva.

Hi,
You are referring to the Layout correct? I have them in the layout but have hidden them. I have the constands in the Planning Level for Chart of Accounts, Controlling area etc. Is this correct?
