Dear All,
I have a requirement to build Pie charts as well as Doughnut charts with multiple values. When I build the chart I noticed that data labels position cannot be controlled. We can either hide or can display inside the chart.
The values get overlapped as when i tried to display them inside the chart. Please tell me how can I achieve placing the data labels outside for Pie/Doughnut charts. We are using 1.6 Design Studio.

Thank you.
Hi Tammy,
Thanks for your reply. I would have a look at these extensions. Since Pie and Donut charts are most popular charts, the feature of placing the labels outside the chart is minimum expected to be there in Design Studio, but unfortunately not.
Thanks for the suggestion again.

Hi Santosh - I don't see a way to do that within the tool - there is a similar idea on Idea Place which has been accepted but not implemented: https://ideas.sap.com/D21610
If it has to be a pie chart / donut chart you can consider using extensions - see https://analytics-extensions.enter.sap/ or http://cdn.visualbi.com/wp-content/uploads/visualbi-extensions-for-sap-businessobjects-design-studio... as examples
But I have to ask, is the pie chart the right visualization? See Stephen Few's "Save Pie Charts for Dessert" https://www.perceptualedge.com/articles/visual_business_intelligence/save_the_pies_for_dessert.pdf
