Optimizer rounding value

Former Member

Hi all,

I want to use SAP APO Optimizer to planning with storage capacity limit. My scenario:

I set round value 19 in product master LotSize tab and set "Lot for lot order quantity".

In global SNP settings (spro>apo>snp>Basic Settings>Maintain Global SNP Settings) set SNP/Depl.Optimizer: Calculate Transportation Lot Size - Location Product / Transportation Lane.

In optimizer log input parameters ET_ARCMAT - SNP: Transportation lot size in product units i see value 19, but planning result is not correct, i get order with value '50'. What i do wrong?

Thanks & Regards,

Vasya.

Hello Vasya,

Please check the following:

  • SNP lot size profile (transportation lanes😞 To enable the optimizer to take into account the minimum lot sizes and rounding values defined, you have to choose the discrete optimization method in the SNP optimizer profile. More info at: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_ewm70/helpdata/en/c0/717b37db6bcd66e10000009b38f889/content.htm
  • On SNP under Basic Settings -> Maintain Global SNP Settings, your SNP profile (the one active):There is a setting called "Consider Lot Size Settings in Optimizer":This parameter is used by the SNP optimizer. If you choose Form Lots According to Settings, the system splits the production quantities that were determined into multiple planned orders. This splitting is governed by the master data settings you have made for the location product (in the Fixed Lot Size and Rounding Value fields) and the production process model (in the Maximum Lot Size field). The default setting is: Do Not Consider Lot Size Settings
  • Please check the discrete and linear optimization tabs accordingly to the selection made in the Optimizer profile. There you can find lot size settings.

Best Regards,
Werner Hansen
