Extraction steps

Hi Experts,

I am learning the Data Extraction in BW. I need your help. pls provide me the steps for the following types of extraction.

LO

LIS

Generic

I have some notes but they r not clear.

<u>LO Extraction:</u>

<u>Generic Extraction:</u>

1. Goto RSo2 create a datasource(transaction) say 'ZPROD'.

2. Assign the application component and select the table for this.

3. Now this would list all the fields from that table. You can "hide" using the hide checkmark for the fields that you dont want in BW.

4. Now goto BW side. For the application component where you created the datasource > select the application component -> right click and click replicate datasources.

5. Now you would find your datasource. Right click and say "assign datasource".

6. You would need to create the info-objects or use the existing info-objects and create the info-source.

7. Create the Data target and update rules and then load the Data target using a info-package.
