Calendar iView Creating Appointments - Advise Please

Former Member

Hello All,

I need some help, I have configured all the Transports and also User mapping for my user which connects to the Lotus Server.

In my Calendar iView I keep getting this message:

"Unable to locate mail database for the user"

When I keep refreshing the page the message goes away but then when I navigate to page2 and page 3 it comes back and when I refresh, it goes away.

I am using User Mapping to my Notes Server and have maintained all the email details and parameters. I would appreciate any help you guys can offer.

Thanks,

John.

Hi John,

It seems that you have done the configurations correctly. One question I would like to ask you is that exactly which user which you have used in user mapping?..Is that the user which simply connects to the lotus server(and has no lotus account) or a user which has an account on the lotus server. You should be using a user which has a mail database in user mapping.

When you create an appointment through lotus notes calendar iview, it uses your user credentials (specified in your User Mapping) to log into your lotus account. Also it picks up the mail address from your user profile settings(and also the other person's mail with whom you are trying to set a meeting with) to send a mail to the two of you to inform about the meeting.

If nothing is helping, try this out.This may give you an idea as to what is wrong.

In the servlets.properties file,add the following(marked in bold)

servlet.CalendarServlet.initArgs=saveperiod=50,width=7,AttachmentFolder= 😧
temp,useEmail=true,debug=true,logResponse=true

But you will have to check the on the Lotus Console, to check what the error is. When you try to create an appointment through the calendar iview, simultaneously see the lotus console to see the error.

Hope, it helps.
