Our /BI0/PDOC_NUMBER, /BI0/XDOC_NUMBER, AND /BI0/SDOC_NUMBER tables contain over 349 million records and we get alerts about it in HANA Studio. Does anyone know of a way to reduce the number of records in these tables?

Hi,

  • First try to delete the master data with SID's, he will delete what is possible, but when your MD is linked with Cubes he won't be able to do so.
  • Second step is to delete the content of the tables, but will you break all SID's by this way and you will have to load data and repair Indexes where needed (can be quite complicated)

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried deleting the master data in RSA1. It failed each time I tried it with a cryptic "error in the where used list" message. I guess I will have to open an incident.
