To log on to the DTR you just need to create the client in your Developer Studio. (Did you create a new DTR client?) You can fill in the DTR location when creating a new DTR client?

You can try http://server:port/dtr if http://server:port is not working

This is all that is needed in Developer Studio to connect to the DTR.

Under Java Development Configuration Pool you set the url for the sld, http://server:port/sld/cimom (you won't need this if you're just connecting to the dtr).

Check if you have the valid url of the DTR by filling it in in a webbrowser. You should be able to do this. If you're not getting into the repository browser you are connecting to the wrong url, or the DTR is not setup correctly.

The Java Development Configuration Pool you only need if you are also gonna download Development Configurations.

Even if there is no configuration there you should be able to ping it.

The DTR URL for a DTR client must end with /dtr, in your case http://server:port/dtr.

The Java Development Configuration Pool points to the NWDI server. This should be just http://server:port.

You do not need to create any objects in the SLD.
